This is my design for the NEXT Steelcase competition for Fall 2023. My project was an honorable mention in the Colorado State cohort. I focused my project on the client (an architecture and design firm) and their day-to-day experiences. Architects and designers must make informed choices based on the past, the present, and the future. The project’s inspiration poem, “To Think Of Time,” discusses time perspective theory and finding temporal balance. These ideas inform the mindfulness of history, forms, colors, circulation of the design, sight lines, and materiality throughout the space.
